Our Grounds

The 12 acres of peaceful grounds surrounding the house include ancient trees, superb gardens, lawns, meadows and an orchard. Cattle graze in the paddocks, the family cats rest in the shade of the willow and in summer, Swifts and Martins circle the skies above the croquet lawn.

A wonderful variety of wildlife and birds are attracted to our specially planted flower beds, which are tended lovingly by our Head Gardener, Tony Broad.

These grounds provide a restful backdrop against which you can take tea, have a pre-dinner stroll or pose for your  wedding photographs
