A good stay for me starts with the bedroom. All have wonderfully comfortable beds and inviting high thread count linens. this gives a luxury feel. Together with the tranquillity of our surroundings, you are close to being guaranteed a restful night.
Half our bedrooms face south with delightful views of the gardens and countryside. Those facing north and the front of the hotel, overlook a bank of beautiful Acacia trees; a splendid mature willow; a small grove of mixed trees and shrubs ……….. and yes a few cars may even be parked there! All our rooms are simply a pleasure to relax in.
Do not expect the super luxury fit outs that abound in this boutique hotel sector. Here, beautiful antique tables and family heirlooms sit alongside modern sofas and the effect is described by many as “charming”. First and foremost, this is a home that has become a hotel, and many just love it. Why? Because it has “warmth” and “welcome” everywhere. All bedrooms are named after local Oxfordshire places or attractionsAll bedrooms have baths and power showers. Two have four-poster beds and some, antique furniture. The luxury super king-size beds can be split in two for those who prefer twin beds. Most have flat screen televisions, Free-view and free WiFi. A laundry and ironing service is available.
