Our Grounds

The twelve acres of peaceful grounds which surround the house include ancient trees, superb gardens, lawns, meadows and an orchard. Horses graze in the paddocks, the family cats rest in the shade of the willow trees and in summer, swallows circle the skies above the croquet lawn. A wonderful variety of wildlife and birds are attracted to our specially planted flower beds, which are tended lovingly by our Head Gardener, Tony Broad.

These grounds provide a restful backdrop against which you can take tea, have a pre-dinner stroll or pose for your wedding photographs.
