I was at a wedding fair today and met Nicki Budd who runs her own floral business called 'Budd's Florist', flowers by design

I remembered that Nicki exhibited at our own wedding fayre which I organised at Fallowfields Country House Hotel in April.

She has some beautiful floral arrangements and some which are very different.

I asked if she had enquiries from our wedding fayre and she told me that we had left her and her contact details out of our wedding blog.

I must apologise to her for this and I will now rectify this by posting her contact details.

This is now the fourth annual fair at Fallowfields Country House Hotel, displaying Fallowfields as one of the top wedding venues hereabouts, together with many of our favourite suppliers.

Some twenty stands gathered during the morning for our wedding fair to open at 1pm. We were delighted that well over 50 Brides came with families and friends, over 200 people in all.

The sun shone, the daffodils bloomed, the Grooms's smiled nervously as they felt their credit cards lightening by the minute, the Brides glowed as they realised just what was possible and how a venue could look.

We took lots of photographs of the stall holders, most of which are shewn below. Next time we will get the professionals to take some shots as, our amateur attempts really do not do anyone justice. But here we go,,,,,,

Woods of Carswell, hair and beauty by Samantha and Lorraine. they did the hair for the two bridal models - beautiful

These have been highly successful well attended events in the past, attracting really high quality suppliers, many of whom we have dealt with for years.

Part of the restaurant will be set up as for a wedding. This will give you a chance to see for yourelves how it will look and may give you some ideas on flowers, colour etc. for your wedding. Please note the chandeliers have been replaced with spot mood lighting.

It will also give you a chance to have a look at the bedrooms, which are all very different, as well as the rest of the hotel and lovely grounds. This one is the lovely Woolstone room. All our rooms are named after Oxfordshire villages.

James Channon, the Fallowfields Falconer will be displaying some of his raptors [falcons hawks and owls] . It will be a good opportunity to chat with him and maybe help you to decide if you would like a display at your wedding.

Sarah from ‘Ribbons and Bows’ will be exhibiting chair covers she has tailor made to fit our chairs, and will also have a selection of coloured sashes for you to see.

This along with Bridal Wear, Florists, Photographers, Hair & Make-up, Stationary, Cakes, Jewellery, Wedding Cars, should give you plenty of information as well as being an enjoyable day.
The Bar and afternoon Tea will be available for those that may feel the need for some sustenance!
