On Sunday night, we are not normally very busy, five or six tables in the hotel’s restaurant. We have plenty of time therefore to chat with guests [if they are so inclined] and, were delighted when one couple turned to Rob our Restaurant Manger and said “that…..was simply the BEST meal we have ever had in our lives”.
A comment like that is what makes this industry so worthwhile, it will keep us happy for days.
Well done Rob for looking after our guests but on this occasion, more so to Alastair who was on the stove. At the end of the day though it is about teamwork – we had our own rare breed pork on the menu for the first time in a while that night and so the farm was playing it’s role too – all parts of our complicated machine, meshing well together and delivering for the customer.
